• Many Levels. One Goal.

    We’re all in this together

NEW STUDENTS

Welcome, New Students! Whether this is your first time, or you are well experienced, we want you to come to Parallel Yoga prepared to practice, willing to learn, and ready to explore.

We pride ourselves in offering classes that are accessible to everyone. Classes can be as challenging or as relaxed as you make it; the choice is simply yours. Hatha Yoga is the practice of movement and breath, so always a great place to start. If you’re wanting to be a little more relaxed, or if you’re challenged with your range of motion, then please try our Restorative or Stretch classes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Great people & great energy.

We ask that you arrive to the class 15 minutes early to fill out the registration form and get acquainted with the space. Most importantly, come to the studio with an open mind and an open heart. Give yourself time to get familiar with the yoga practice. Like any new activity, it will take a few classes to get familiar with the new poses you are learning, the new muscles you are discovering, and the new language you will be hearing. The more you come, the more natural the yoga practice will become. You will get stronger with every practice, physically and mentally.

WHAT TO WEAR

Light, breathable, comfortable clothing. If you are still unsure, we have some great options for you in store. Please also come prepared to practice in bare feet.

WHAT TO BRING

A mat, if you have one. We have a few on hand in the studio that you’re welcome to use, however if you decide yoga is for you, a mat is a wonderful investment in your practice. Also make sure you bring some water and a towel.
