Parallel Sports Performance is a sport-specific, yoga-based conditioning program for athletes. We also specialize in mobility and recovery, to help prevent and/or heal from injury.

This is appropriate for both in-season and off-season training.

  • Group / Team Training

    We are currently working with the Yale Baseball and Hockey Academies and spent two years working with athletes in the Atom, PeeWee, and Bantam divisions of Abbotsford Minor Hockey. We have also worked with professional athletes.

  • One-on-One Training

    This training is tailored specifically to the athlete. While flexibility is a byproduct of what yoga can offer, we can also look at using sport specific yoga poses to increase strength, stability and introducing other conditioning options for speed and mobility.

  • Sport Specific Training

    Whether it’s for golf, hockey, basketball, volleyball or any other sport, we custom tailor our training for the specific needs of each discipline. With proper conditioning and training you maximize results.

  • Sports Recovery

    Our athletic therapy for recovery / prevention focuses on dynamic solutions to get you back on the ice, back to work or back to life. Injuries happen, it’s how you respond that matters most.

Head Trainer: Kara Coleman

Kara’s background in competitive sports (both as an athlete and a coach), along with her understanding of movement biomechanics, provides valuable insight into how these athletes are trained. Kara has been working with amateur and pro athletes of all ages and levels.
